Ambush Alley
1 x 52 mins
The Chitake Spring is a lifeline to the animals of Zimbabwe’s National Park, it flows out of a sandy riverbed 30km inland from the Zambezi river into Zimbabwe. The river bed is flanked by a cliff on either side, and as result it becomes an alley of death to its visitors who find themselves trapped in a predatory ambush.
During the dry months it is a means of survival for all the inhabitants of the National Park, and the resident lion pride and pack of wild dogs are there to take advantage of its trapped victims. Ambush Alley gives a thrilling record capturing the bare reality of the fight for survival in the wild. It is a masterpiece which reveals acts of courage, triumph, retaliation, and life and death for all those venturing into the Alley.
