Mugabe's Elephants
Sharon Pincott, despite harassment, physical abuse and being accused of being a spy, has formed one of the most remarkable relationships between humans and wild elephants ever documented. She breaks all the rules of wildlife observation when she reaches out and touches Lady, one of the Presidential Herd’s matriarchs. The dramatic, but inspiring, story of Lady and the 400-strong elephant herd unfold to reveal the emotions of these giants – joy, mourning, playfulness, jealousy and anger. But the herd is under threat. In desperation, Sharon seeks an audience with Robert Mugabe to convince him to reaffirm the 21-year-old Presidential Decree that protects this remarkable herd of wild elephants.

Saving Rhino Phila
From deep within a conflict emerges a powerful emotional story of survival. A new breed of poachers has recently gone to war on South Africa’s rhino population and against all odds; one rhino has survived their bullets. Her name is Phila. Phila's story lures us into a world of organized crime and millionaire poachers, armed to the teeth with automatic weapons, helicopters and night vision goggles. A host of offbeat characters are drawn into Phila’s world: From her owner and his shattered dreams to wildlife veterinarians arrested for poaching. From crack police units to glamorous landowners lacing their rhino’s horns with poison.
Stranded
The stormy morning of the 31 of May 2009 changed the lives of many people in the small coastal town of Kommetjie in Cape Town, South Africa. To the horror of the residents the sandy beach was the scene of a massive stranding of 55 False Killer Whale (Pseudorca crassidens). During the early hours the majority of the animals were still alive and slowly being suffocated by their own weight. The public responded swiftly to return the whales back to the sea, as time passed more people gathered to help in a bitterly cold morning, many of them suffering hypothermia and risking their own lives.
