Location

In the past the Wildlife Film Academy has been based first in the Kruger National Park, then in the majestic Entabeni Private Game Reserve. This year the location is an exciting new venue, guaranteed to inspire and excite all true wildlife enthusiasts and offer the very best opportunities for filming an abundance of animals in their natural habitats.

Facilities

All lectures make use of visual material and there is a TV/VHS/DVD player for viewing purposes. The post-production facilities are also based at the camp, and include individual editing suites for each student, and a projector and screen for tutorials. Each student has access to digitizing decks, playback facilities, and Apple editing hardware and software.

Other facilities for student use at the Academy include pc’s, a film library with the latest wildlife films for students to watch, and a library with the latest journals, magazines and books on wildlife and filmmaking.

Lecturers

All lecturers at the Wildlife Film Academy are experienced and successful wildlife filmmakers and make use of different filming styles. They use a variety of techniques such as hands-on practicals and the use of wildlife films as case studies. Their combined input helps you to experience the many different facets of the wildlife filmmaking industry. All lectures are interactive and encourage lively debates between the students.
